Subsequent social and economic development is confirming this trend.” Citing statistics, he explains how women’s literacy during 2003- 07 rose by 20%, outperforming overall literacy growth rate at 16% during the period. Similarly, women opting for postgraduate courses have grown by a huge 25% versus 16% for the overall segment.
